Diversity and Inclusion

In accordance with the Prudential Regulation Authority’s requirements QIB (UK) Board approved a Diversity and Inclusion policy which sets out how the Bank promotes diversity on its Board, and throughout the company.

QIB (UK) wants to be an attractive place to work for those with the right competencies and willingness to contribute to a high performing organisation. A key focus point for the Bank is to be able to recruit, develop and retain a diverse workforce.

An inclusive work environment is key to leverage the insights of diverse competencies and thinking to enable us to become the number one bank for Islamic banking in London. Further, diversity and inclusion is understood as a prerequisite for maintaining a high performance organisation, and a healthy, agile and innovative work place.

For a small employer with less than 40 staff, QIB (UK) currently employs a diverse group of people particularly in terms of age, gender, disability, race and religion.

Initiatives

All employees throughout the Bank participated in mandatory Equality and Diversity training in 2016 and a Discrimination Awareness programme in 2017.
